Getting the next generation off to a great start.

The matter of a suitable successor continually reappears on the agenda of every organisation as part of its natural lifecycle. This issue can be problematic in the case of family-owned companies, when no family member is willing or able to carry on the business. Meanwhile, there are often experienced managers around who are only too keen to shape both their own and the companies’ futures at the helm of such organisations. We help to bring the two sides together. We can put you in touch with investors who can help you to achieve your goals. Whether your business continues under the guidance of managers from within your company (management buy-out) or external managers (management buy-in), we work closely with you to develop a fitting strategy. We then continue to advise the acquisition team and the vendor for the duration of the takeover process. In addition to designing the equity model, we also provide you with the equity you require. Restructuring

In economically insecure times, an enterprise can quickly get into economic difficulties.

Once the corporate crisis is there, reorganisation and restructuring measures need to be taken immediately; these measures usually also require a strengthening of the capital basis. Our investment capital offers an increase of the equity capital volume to small- and medium-sized companies, for instance in order to improve the state of the art by investments and to optimise workflows. This has been done for Ergocast GmbH from Jünkerath/Eifel: In November 2010, S-UBG acquired shares in the iron foundry, thereby providing the enterprise and the employees with a new perspective after insolvency. Today, Ergocast is a successful player in the iron casting industry.

Start-ups

Stimulating growth in the region – the SEED FUND AACHEN for technology-oriented start-ups.

With the SEED FUND AACHEN, we support innovative start-ups whose concepts show real promise and provide finance to budding businesses with a strong focus on technology. In order to be eligible to receive financing from S-UBG’s SEED FUND AACHEN:

  • The enterprise must be technology oriented
  • The business must be based in the economic region of Aachen
  • The company must have been founded no more than 18 months ago

Thanks to the resources of the SEED FUND AACHEN and its associated co-investors, we are able to invest up to approx. 1.5 million euros to finance businesses in their product concept and start-up phases right up to the production of prototypes.
