Kleve. Over the past few years, PROWERB GmbH has consistently evolved from a traditional marketing logistics provider into a comprehensive service partner for nearly all areas of modern marketing services. Originally focused on the storage, order picking, packaging, and dispatch of promotional materials, PROWERB now offers its customers a significantly broader range of services. From the sourcing and finishing of promotional products and merchandise, through end-to-end marketing logistics, to the development of customized digital solutions, customers receive all services from a single source.
In particular, the Merchandise and Digital divisions have become important growth drivers. In the merchandise segment, PROWERB provides comprehensive solutions, from product selection and procurement through individual finishing to tailored promotional concepts. At the same time, the development of digital applications is becoming increasingly important. Custom online shops, apps, sweepstake platforms, and other digital tools help companies manage their marketing activities more efficiently and intelligently connect their processes.
As the service portfolio has grown, so has the company itself. PROWERB now operates at six locations: three logistics sites at its headquarters in Kleve, the event campus in Lüdinghausen, a merchandise and promotional products site in Dortmund, and a digital development site in Düsseldorf.
“Our aspiration has always been not simply to offer services, but to create solutions for our customers. Over the years, this approach has repeatedly opened up new business areas and growth opportunities, which we have consistently pursued,” explains Sebastian Noy, Managing Partner in the second generation. “With this development, the complexity of our company has naturally increased as well. To maintain our quality standards over the long term and continue growing, we need clear responsibilities and strong personalities who can independently drive their respective areas forward.”
Noy relies on a principle that has already shaped the generational transition within the company: trust. “My father let me get on with things back then and placed his trust in me to develop the company according to my own vision. I am still very grateful to him for that. Now I want to pass on this trust to my long-standing colleagues.”
An important step in this direction is therefore the expansion of the management team with Christopher Messina, responsible for Logistics, and Michael Bauer, responsible for Merchandise. Both will also become shareholders. Philipp Götzinger (CTO & Head of Digital) and Thorben Janßen (Head of Finance & CSR) are also joining the shareholder group. As a result, key areas of responsibility are being more closely connected, not only organizationally but also from an entrepreneurial perspective.
PROWERB is also gaining an experienced investment partner in S-UBG AG from Aachen. The investment company, owned by several savings banks in the Rhineland region, supports medium-sized companies as an equity partner in matters of growth, expansion, shareholder transitions, and succession solutions. Since its founding in 1988, S-UBG has financed and supported more than 200 companies in their development.
“From our very first contact, we had a extremely positive impression of PROWERB. The company has an outstanding management team and, as a full-service provider in a rapidly growing market, is well positioned for the planned further growth,” says Humberto Duarte, Authorized Signatory at S-UBG, who played a key role in the transaction together with Board Member Bernhard Kugel.
For Sebastian Noy, the new structure is above all a deliberate decision for the company’s long-term future.
“Over the past few years, we have built a great deal together. With our new structure, we are now creating the basis to continue this growth sustainably and with clearly distributed responsibilities. I am very much looking forward to developing PROWERB in this constellation over the coming years and decades. Each individual brings outstanding expertise to their area, and it is precisely this combination that makes us strong. We are not only colleagues but will also become entrepreneurs together. For me, this is an important and very personal step.”
With its expanded leadership structure, the participation of management, and S-UBG as a new partner, PROWERB is well positioned to consistently continue its development from a marketing logistics provider into an integrated marketing service provider.
